Tasting the cake

To benefit most from Happy Thinking, it’s best to try out some of the ideas rather than just reading about them.

Imagine that one loves chocolate cake and that there is a tempting slice right in front of them.

Imagine that person is desperate to taste the cake and stares at the cake endlessly. Will that fulfil one’s desire to taste the cake? Even if one stared at the cake for hours, one would still have no taste. The only way to taste the cake is to make the effort. One will need to move one’s arms, use a fork to take a portion, move it to one’s mouth, and start eating it. Only then would one be able to taste the delicious cake.

The same concept applies to Happy Thinking. Just reading this website, without actually trying out the ideas in it,  will have only a limited benefit. Do give the ideas a try and see for yourself whether they are beneficial for you. Of course, we all have different circumstances, but it is about doing what one can do. Even little efforts can pay off.

Often, at the beginning of learning a skill, one needs more energy than when one is fluent with it. When one first learns to ride a bicycle, it takes a lot of energy, and there are many falls. But once one is familiar with riding a bike, it becomes effortless. Similarly, extra effort is needed when first learning to use a psychological method. As one masters the method, its use will be automatic and require minimal energy.

I invite you to bite into Happy Thinking and taste its benefits!
